About the Business Area VicRoads Regional Operations is committed to a road network that supports an integrated and sustainable transport system. This involves working across government to promote the integration of transport and land use, as well as reducing the impact of transport on the natural environment. It also ensures that the public transport system is supported in providing accessibility and sustainable travel options. This is an exciting opportunity for a Works Supervisor to assume day-to-day leadership, engagement and supervision for a team of dedicated Road Workers delivering civil works. The successful applicant will be Responsible for the supervision and management of maintenance and emergency works for the Bendigo depot on behalf of VicRoads. Dealing with enquiries from other road users and other customers including Government Departments, Municipalities, Service Authorities and the Public. Developing solutions and defining scope of works across the region. Ensuring compliance with VicRoads Road Management Plan. Adhering to OH&S and Environmental Management principles. Experience with maintenance and civil construction is required. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of relevant experience with excellent skills in problem solving, time management and written and verbal communication skills and can effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
